Fading
NEW!
This is Stephen's third volume of poetry. Moving past middle
age into the final stages of life, these 74-plus poems reflect
on a life lived and the memories accumulated. He reminisces
about the frustrations of childhood, the anxieties of teenagers,
and the challenges of adulthood. There is both sorrow and
celebration, a recognition of necessary losses balanced by an
awareness of hope. Death comes to all, but so does resurrection.
For some, this realization is filled with terror or despair. For
Stephen, it is filled with anticipation of great joy.

The Hungering Dark: Awakening
Award-winning religious thriller from WestBow Press (a division of Thomas
Nelson & Zondervan)!
“I don’t know what it is or what it isn’t. I don’t know how it works or
functions. I don’t know if it’s magic, pure evil straight from hell,
alien, or what. All I know is what it does when the lights go out. And I
know I never want to be in the same room with it in the dark.”
A mysterious and deadly threat—housed in a strange puzzle box—has found
its way to the humble town of Timbuk, Pennsylvania. The object’s origins reach all the
way back to Moses, the plagues, and Pharaoh’s wicked magicians.
For centuries, secret groups have been hunting the box and its contents.
One group allegedly seeks to destroy it. The other —called the
Descendants — seeks to use it to visit revenge on the Jewish people.
Now fate has placed the box in the hands of an unassuming Christian
family, a small-town sheriff, a female state trooper, and a professor of
biblical archaeology. Realizing the power the puzzle box holds, they
must do everything they can to keep their community — and the world —
safe from the deadly darkness.
What some readers are saying:
"Starts off good, with characters and
situations as believable as any Stephen King has, only with no swearing
or raunchy habits. And the origin of the Dark Evil was impressive. I was
surprised it was revealed so soon,
but it worked."
***
"What to do on a snowy day? Read Stephen Clark's nail biting novel!"
***
"I couldn't sleep after reading it!"

Home Noise: new poems
77 new poems from
award-winning writer, Stephen R Clark imbued with wit, whimsy,
and wisdom, showcasing the imaginative playfulness of Clark, a
student of the everyday and, most importantly, of his Creator.
From the Foreword by Robert S.
"Steve" Dicken
In
Home Noise — New Poems, readers can savor Stephen’s sensory
impressions of his (our) world. [T]hese poems are glimpses into
our contemporary society. There are deep, provocative views of
spirituality interspersed with light, whimsical views of
Stephen’s — and our own — everyday world. Readers will delight
in Stephen’s use of sounds and senses as well as an array of
poetic devices that reveal Stephen paid attention in our English
class years ago. But most of all, readers will have the
opportunity to bring their own life experiences to his works and
depart those printed pages with some universal truths. Stephen
declares, “When I write poetry my intention is to make it
accessible and inspiring. To write what connects with the heart
and lifts up the imagination. That, in some way, always points
to the Creator behind creation.” Again, he paid attention in
class — “A poem should not mean, but be.”
What some readers are saying:
"Comfortable, observational, domestic,
celebratory poems
by Oreland, PA’s rival to Billy Collins."
***
"You will see yourself in these poems."

Christmas Believe: a novella
This
charming holiday novella reveals real meaning of Christmas
Believe!
Little
10-year-old Sammy has christened the day before Christmas with a
new name that, for him, is descriptive of how faith works at
Christmastime.
His older
brother, Stinz has grown up hardened and cynical, rebuffs
Sammy's innocent beliefs about the season but longs for more of
something.
Their
mother, Margaret, is the only bright star in their lives, and
works diligently to provide for their needs and keep them both
on track.
Just prior
to Christmas, Margaret learns of the tragic death of her husband
in a bizarre accident. Joe had walked out on them ten years
prior but has left behind a surprising treasure.
The story
reveals how they come to terms with this second loss of a father
and husband. In the midst of their pain, each experiences the
joy, wonder, and blessings of Christmas.
Other
readers warn that you will shed a tear or two reading this
novella.
