Online / Web
(sites & email newsletters) |
If you are an author, run a small business,
or have a ministry or organization, you need a web
site!
For many, the thought of developing a web site can be intimidating
and the process can be confusing. It doesn't have to be either.
I built my first web site in 1996. The site
was simple and garnered lots of compliments. The primary purpose of the site
was to help me get a job by featuring my resume and some of my work; an
online portfolio if you will. Later, I
began developing web sites for friends and clients.
Over the years I have created fairly complex
sites, very simple sites, as well as adding or modifying pages to existing
sites. One thing that has always amazed me are web designers who tell their
clients that creating a web site is mind-numbingly complex and, of course,
incredibly expensive.
Rarely is either true. There are exceptions
when development costs can grow into the tens of thousands of dollars; but I
don't do those kinds of massive sites. My strength is in building clean,
simple, functional, and affordable sites.
An effective web site for an organization,
author, consultant, ministry, or small business does not need to be
exceedingly complex or outrageously expensive. Just ask some of the clients I
developed and maintain web sites for:
All of the sites I've created cost very little
to develop and maintain. Definitely not tens of thousands of dollars!
My goal is to help you get a basic and
effective site up and
running as inexpensively as possible without sacrificing professionalism.
You don’t have to spend a lot or become a techno geek to get a decent web
site that produces great results.
I can also provide support for email newsletters,
single pages within an existing site, or refreshing an existing site.

detail.
By the way, two books I strongly recommend for
anyone who has or who builds web sites are these:
