Love Energized By Grace

Love is the action of grace. Grace is the activator of love. Love makes grace real, tangible, visible. Grace makes love happen. It is the power--the spiritual Diehard (TM) battery--that gives energy to loving actions. Through love, God administers grace into our lives; and through our lives, conveys His grace to others. A grace-filled life is a life overflowing with love.

A life denied or rejecting grace is filled with bitterness, sorrow, regret, despair, and anger. It is a life filled with words and acts of violence and hatred toward the self and toward others. It is a life crippled with binding guilt and self-loathing; a life cowered in darkness and covered in rags, instead of living in light and clothed with righteousness.

The more we comprehend the extent of God’s grace and the power of God’s grace in us and toward us, the more we will respond with love. It’s an irresistible reaction. Awareness and acceptance of grace brings the application and living out of love.

Through grace denied we are exposed in sin--tormented. Where there is no love, no patience, no caring, no forgiveness, there is no grace. Through grace received we are hidden in Christ--protected. In the richness of grace the Spirit’s fruit flourishes and love cannot be restrained. Glory!

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8, NIV)
