Truth That Fizzes!
Sometimes
we know the truth, but don’t "get it." It’s like carrying around an Alka
Seltzer (TM) in a pocket or purse. We know what it can do for
us, but don’t experience its true power until we put it in water and then
drink it. Sometimes God drops a little
truth we’ve been carrying into the grace of insight. Suddenly, energized
by the Holy Spirit (the water), this truth comes alive, bubbling and effervescent
inside us (the indwelling). Healing the aches and pains of our sinfulness.
Relieving the indigestion of our prayerlessness. And unstuffing our hurt-cramped
hearts. We never view it as a little
truth again, but now acknowledge the living Word at work powerfully within
us. And it all happens in an instant--one holy moment in His presence.

Surely
you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost
