AWARD-WINNING RELIGIOUS THRILLER

I won the Grand Prize in the second annual New Look Writing Contest sponsored by WestBow Press. The prize includes a self-publishing package.

WestBow Press is a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, which are all owned by HarperCollins Publishers.

Unlike many self-publishing operations, this one has significant built-in credibility which adds cachet to the book. Also, if the book does well, there’s a chance that it could be picked up by Thomas Nelson or Zondervan and receive more widespread attention.

Entries were judged based on: Originality (25% of score); Quality of writing (25% of score); Conveyance of an inspirational, positive story that is consistent with the Christian mission of WestBow Press as set forth in WestBow Press’ Editorial Standards (50% of score).

Pete Nikolai, WestBow Press publisher, stated, “We were pleased by the quality of the titles submitted and especially with the grand-prize winner. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented writers.”
